Account, content and places
We process account data, profile data, user content, media, teams, chats, reports, feedback and place data so the map, community and member features can operate.
Analytics and consent
Internal analytics raw data is limited to 180 days. Optional Google Analytics 4 is loaded only after consent and does not receive names, email addresses, exact coordinates, private team data or free message text.
What data SemiLost processes
SemiLost processes personal data required for accounts, login, security features, profiles, roles, social links, media, saved places, visited places, comments, ratings, likes, bookmarks, teams, messages, reports, feedback and membership status.
Place data can include names, addresses, coordinates, categories, condition details, warnings, safety notes and images. Visibility depends on the platform feature and permissions used, especially for private team places.
Location, maps and service providers
If you enable browser location access, your browser processes your current location so SemiLost can show your position, calculate distances or sort nearby places. You can revoke that permission in your browser or device settings.
For maps, address search, geocoding, route links, authentication, payment, push, email, translation and optional analytics, SemiLost can use its own infrastructure and providers such as Supabase, Stripe, Google, Apple, Google Analytics, OpenStreetMap, CARTO, MapTiler, Nominatim, LibreTranslate or OpenAI where active.
Storage, local data and rights
SemiLost uses LocalStorage and SessionStorage for login state, language, theme, app settings, map and navigation settings, fallback bookmarks, feed state, a random internal analytics session ID, analytics consent and temporary OAuth or MFA state. Optional Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga after consent.
Users have rights under GDPR, including access, rectification, deletion, restriction, data portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. Profiles can be deleted in the settings. Privacy requests can be sent to office@blkcloud.de.
Important safety and legal note
Coordinates and research help with planning and documentation, but they do not replace permission from the owner. SemiLost does not grant access rights or provide tips for bypassing barriers.

Yes. Core access to the lost place map is free and not locked behind a paywall.
Does SemiLost provide exact coordinates?
SemiLost is built around exact coordinates. Sensitive details are handled carefully and are not published broadly on public pages.
Can I enter abandoned places just because they are listed?
No. Coordinates and research do not grant access rights or replace permission from the owner.
